Minnesota Assassin Suspect On Run After Killing Two Lawmakers

Vance Luther Boelter, a self-proclaimed security expert and conservative evangelical, is the suspect in the politically motivated shooting deaths of Minnesota state Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband, and the wounding of Senator John Hoffman and his wife. Boelter allegedly disguised himself as a police officer to gain entry to the victims’ homes and left behind a target list of nearly 70 Democratic politicians and abortion advocates, including Gov. Tim Walz and Rep. Ilhan Omar. A manhunt is ongoing, with Boelter still at large and considered armed and dangerous, while the FBI has offered a $50,000 reward for information leading to his capture. During the investigation, Boelter's wife, Jenny, was detained for questioning after being found with cash, ammunition, passports, and relatives in her car but was released without arrest. Jenny is listed as the CEO of Praetorian Guard Security Services LLC, a company tied to her husband’s security ventures. Authorities are continuing to probe whether Boelter acted alone or had assistance, including any involvement from his wife.
