Domino’s Q1 2025: US Sales Dip, Dividend Announced
Domino’s Pizza reported mixed first-quarter results for fiscal 2025, with earnings per share of $4.33 beating analyst expectations but revenue of $1.11 billion missing estimates. U.S. same-store sales declined by 0.5%, attributed to lower in-store traffic and a shift among low-income customers from delivery to carryout. International same-store sales grew 3.7%, offsetting some domestic weakness. The company saw a year-over-year increase in net income and global retail sales, and declared a $1.74 per share quarterly dividend. Domino’s highlighted progress on its 'Hungry for MORE' strategy, expanded partnerships with DoorDash, and new menu items as drivers of ongoing market share gains. Shares fell following the report due to the revenue miss and domestic sales decline, though the stock remains up for the year.
