Gov. Sanders Promotes Investment, Youth Mental Health at WEF
Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders will attend the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, from January 22-24, where she will participate in two panels. One panel, alongside Jonathan Haidt, will address the impact of smartphones and social media on youth mental health, discussing issues such as anxiety and suicidality among adolescents. The second panel will involve Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear and focus on the role of states in presidential transitions. Sanders, who has advocated for banning smartphones in Arkansas schools, will use the forum to discuss holding Big Tech accountable and promote investment in Arkansas. Her trip is sponsored by the Arkansas Economic Development Foundation and Commission, and she will be accompanied by First Gentleman Bryan Sanders and her Deputy Chief of Staff. Additionally, during the event, she plans to meet with business leaders to attract further investment to her state.
