Former Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg has been released from Rikers Island after serving 100 days of a five-month sentence for perjury, reduced for good behavior. Weisselberg had pleaded guilty to two counts of perjury related to false testimony about the size of Donald Trump’s Manhattan penthouse during a civil fraud investigation, with his plea deal dropping three additional perjury charges. This was Weisselberg's second jail term within a year, having previously served time for tax fraud. The fraud case, led by New York Attorney General Letitia James, resulted in significant financial penalties for Trump and his organization, with Weisselberg also being held liable for fraud and ordered to pay $1 million. Despite multiple criminal investigations, Weisselberg has consistently avoided turning against Trump.
