Israeli Hostage Families Urge Nobel Committee to Award Trump Peace Prize Amid Gaza Hostage Talks

Families of hostages held by Hamas in Gaza have urged the Norwegian Nobel Committee to award the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize to US President Donald Trump for his efforts to secure a peace plan and the release of hostages. The families expressed hope that Trump's comprehensive peace plan, currently under negotiation in Egypt, will end the war in Gaza and restore peace to the region. Trump's efforts have been recognized by Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who previously nominated him for the prize. The forum highlighted Trump's commitment to ending the conflict and bringing all hostages home, stating no other leader has contributed more to peace in the last year. This call for the Nobel Prize coincides with ongoing indirect talks between Israeli and Hamas officials on implementing the ceasefire and hostage exchange.
