South Australia Appoints New Department Chiefs
The South Australian Government has appointed three new departmental chief executives following Damien Walker's move to Queensland's Department of the Premier and Cabinet. Rick Persse, previously the under treasurer, will lead the Department of the Premier and Cabinet, while Tammie Pribanic, the current deputy under treasurer, will become the first woman to hold the under treasurer position. Paul Martyn, formerly the head of Energy and Climate in Queensland, is appointed as chief executive of the Department of Energy and Mining, replacing Dr. Paul Heithersay. Persse and Pribanic's appointments take effect on December 20, with Martyn starting on December 9. Each appointee brings significant public service experience and has received recognition for their contributions to the South Australian community.
