EU Condemns Putin's Nuclear Threats

Meanwhile, the British government condemned Russian President Vladimir Putin's recent nuclear threats in response to Ukraine's missile strike on Russian territory, labeling his rhetoric as irresponsible and accusing Russia of escalating the conflict. EU's top diplomat, Josep Borrell, also criticized Russia's updated nuclear doctrine, stating that any call for nuclear warfare is irresponsible and that Russia must recognize that a nuclear war cannot be won. This heightened nuclear rhetoric coincides with significant developments in the Ukraine conflict, particularly the deployment of U.S.-supplied long-range missiles by Ukraine.
