This year's list features 12 individuals with fortunes exceeding $100 billion, including Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Mark Zuckerberg, who top the list. The minimum net worth required to be included in the Forbes 400 increased to $3.3 billion, with 23 newcomers joining the ranks. Lukas Walton emerged as the richest individual in Illinois, with a net worth of $33.9 billion, succeeding Ken Griffin who relocated to Florida. Alice Walton remains the richest woman in the U.S. with her net worth rising to $89.2 billion. Notably, the top 25 billionaires, who account for half of the total wealth on the list, gained $500 billion collectively.
