Former KCAL Anchor Chauncy Glover Dies at 39

Chauncy Glover, a beloved KCAL News anchor and three-time Emmy Award-winning journalist, has died unexpectedly at the age of 39. Glover, who joined KCAL in October 2023, was known for his impactful storytelling and dedication to community service, notably founding The Chauncy Glover Project to mentor Black and Latino youth. He previously held the position of the first Black male main anchor at KTRK in Houston, where he worked for eight years. Glover's family expressed their devastation over his loss, highlighting his compassion and the positive impact he had on countless lives. Despite his untimely death, the cause remains undisclosed. Glover's legacy is remembered through his contributions to journalism and his commitment to empowering young men through education and personal development initiatives.
