ICE Houston Arrests 350+ Gang Members With 1,700 Crimes, 1,400 Illegal Entries
In the first six months of President Trump's administration in 2025, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers in Houston arrested 356 illegal alien gang members associated with over 40 gangs, including MS-13, Paisas, Tren de Aragua, Latin Kings, and Surenos-13. These individuals collectively have been convicted of 1,685 criminal offenses such as homicide, sexual assault, drug trafficking, and organized crime, and illegally entered the U.S. 1,434 times, with some repeatedly crossing the border up to 40 times. ICE Houston Acting Field Office Director Gabriel Martinez highlighted the dangers these transnational gangs pose to communities, citing a recent brutal rape and murder of a 12-year-old girl, and emphasized the agency's commitment to removing these violent offenders. The arrests are part of the Trump administration's “worst of the worst” initiative aimed at restoring immigration system integrity and enhancing public safety. Additional operations in Houston also targeted repeat immigration offenders and violent criminals, leading to arrests of nearly 50 more suspects with extensive criminal records and multiple illegal reentries. ICE continues to collaborate with Border Patrol and local law enforcement to protect communities by focusing on removing dangerous criminal aliens.
