King Charles Strips Prince Andrew of Titles Over Epstein Links
US President Donald Trump expressed sympathy for the British royal family following King Charles III's decision to strip Prince Andrew of his royal titles due to his association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Trump described the situation as "terrible" and "tragic," stating he feels badly for the family amid the fallout. Buckingham Palace announced that Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and must vacate his Windsor residence, with the UK government planning to revoke his honorary military rank of Vice-Admiral, his last remaining title. Andrew's ties to Epstein date back to 1999, and despite Epstein's 2008 conviction, Andrew maintained contact with him, which has fueled the controversy. The Ministry of Defence is reviewing whether Andrew will lose his naval rank entirely or revert to his active service rank of commander, while his Duke of York title has already been removed. Trump, who has faced scrutiny over his own past connections to Epstein, acknowledged knowing Epstein socially but claims to have had a falling-out years before Epstein's death.
