The dolls, inspired by the upcoming film adaptation of the Broadway musical 'Wicked' starring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, mistakenly displayed a URL that led to an adult site. In response, Mattel is taking immediate action to remedy the situation, advising consumers to discard or obscure the misprinted link and contact customer service for more guidance. The company has begun pulling the dolls from major retailers like Target, Walmart, and Amazon. The film is set to premiere on November 22, 2024, with its sequel expected next year. The dolls are primarily sold in the U.S. and are recommended for children aged four and above.
