Elon Musk Launches Grok-3 AI Chatbot to Compete with Giants

Elon Musk's AI startup, xAI, has launched Grok-3, a next-generation chatbot that aims to compete with industry leaders like OpenAI's ChatGPT and Google's Gemini. Grok-3 boasts more than ten times the computing power of its predecessor and has shown superior performance in various benchmarks, including math and science tests. Integrated into the X platform, Grok-3 will utilize real-time social media data, aligning with Musk's vision of a pro-free speech AI that does not suppress controversial topics. The chatbot also features a new reasoning tool called DeepSearch, enhancing its ability to analyze and respond to user queries. As part of its rollout, Grok-3 will initially be available to subscribers of X Premium+, which costs $16 per month. Musk's ambitious launch comes amid ongoing scrutiny over potential conflicts of interest related to his influence on federal agencies overseeing aspects of his business empire.
