MS-13 Gang Members Stab Three Virginia Prison Officers in Coordinated Attack
Six inmates, including five MS-13 gang members from El Salvador in the U.S. illegally and one U.S.-born Sureño 13 gang member, allegedly carried out a premeditated stabbing attack on correctional officers at Wallens Ridge State Prison in Virginia. The attack occurred Friday morning, resulting in serious injuries to three officers and hospital treatment for five. The MS-13 inmates have prior convictions for violent crimes such as aggravated murder and rape, while the Sureño 13 member is serving time for second-degree murder. Virginia Department of Corrections Director Chad Dotson condemned the presence of the illegal gang members and praised the swift response and daily risks faced by correctional officers. Authorities emphasized that the incident highlights ongoing concerns about the dangers posed by violent foreign nationals within the U.S. prison system. The event is under investigation, and officials indicated that further charges against the inmates are likely.
