IOS 18.3 Brings Starlink to T-Mobile iPhones

Apple has enabled Starlink satellite connectivity in its latest iOS 18.3 update, allowing T-Mobile subscribers with compatible iPhones to send text messages via SpaceX's satellite network when there is no cellular service. This feature, part of a beta program, was developed through a collaboration with SpaceX and T-Mobile, initially available only on select Samsung phones. The service currently supports only text messaging, but plans are in place to introduce voice and data functionalities in the future. T-Mobile users in the U.S. can now access this feature, which complements Apple's existing Globalstar satellite service. The addition of Starlink connectivity aims to provide better coverage in remote areas and is expected to expand to other carriers and devices over time. However, Apple did not highlight this feature in its release notes, indicating a cautious rollout approach.
