Two Charged with Capital Murder in Fort Worth Shooting

Tai Sanders, 17, and Paige Wheaton, 20, have been charged with capital murder in connection to a Thanksgiving night shooting in Fort Worth that resulted in the death of J'Tavian Howard and left two others injured. The pair allegedly conspired with two men to rob Howard at gunpoint, leading to a shootout where all three men were shot. Howard later died in the hospital, while one of the suspected robbers, Javon Gayton, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police uncovered evidence including video footage and group text messages that indicated Sanders and Wheaton's involvement in the robbery plot. Both suspects are currently held at the Tarrant County Jail, with Sanders' bond set at $250,000 and Wheaton's at $500,000. The investigation is ongoing, as authorities seek to identify the other individuals involved.
