Texas Rangers Finalize 2025 Coaching Staff

The Texas Rangers have finalized their coaching staff for the 2025 season under manager Bruce Bochy, welcoming three new additions: bench coach Luis Urueta, assistant pitching coach Dave Bush, and bullpen coach Jordan Tiegs. Urueta joins after two seasons with the Miami Marlins and has experience in the Arizona Diamondbacks organization, while Bush previously served as the Rangers' director of pitching strategy and spent several years as a pitching coach for the Boston Red Sox. Tiegs, who has been with the Rangers since 2019, will be stepping into his first Major League coaching role after serving as the pitching coordinator. The staff will also feature returning members, including pitching coach Mike Maddux and offensive coordinator Donnie Ecker, among others. Notably, the only departures from last season's staff are hitting coach Tim Hyers and associate manager Will Venable, both of whom have accepted positions with other teams. Bruce Bochy is entering his third season with the Rangers, boasting a record of 168-156 during his tenure.
