Poland Denies Plans to Send Troops to Ukraine, Confirms Logistic Support
Poland has unequivocally ruled out sending its troops to Ukraine as part of any peacekeeping or stabilization mission, a stance reaffirmed by multiple Polish officials including Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski, and Deputy Defense Minister Cezary Tomczyk. This position was reiterated following comments by U.S. General Keith Kellogg suggesting the deployment of European forces, including Polish troops, to Ukraine. Polish authorities emphasized that Poland will continue to provide critical logistical and infrastructural support, notably through the POLLOG HUB in Rzeszów, and will maintain its role in defending NATO’s eastern flank. The Polish government stressed that its involvement is focused on supporting a potential peacekeeping mission from its territory rather than direct military deployment within Ukraine. Officials also noted that sending troops could be exploited by Russian propaganda to question Poland's intentions. Poland's role within the coalition supporting Ukraine has been recognized and valued by its allies, who understand Poland's commitment to logistical and infrastructural contributions rather than frontline military engagement.
