Kyrie Irving replaces Anthony Davis for 2025 NBA All-Star Game
Kyrie Irving has been selected by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver to replace injured teammate Anthony Davis on Team Shaq for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game. Davis, who strained his adductor muscle, will be sidelined for several weeks, including the All-Star Weekend. This marks Irving’s ninth All-Star appearance, where he is currently averaging 24.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game. The All-Star Game will feature a new format, a four-team, three-game mini-tournament, and will take place on February 16 at the Chase Center in San Francisco. Additionally, Atlanta's Trae Young will replace Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is out with a calf strain. Irving is expected to join forces with his former teammates such as LeBron James and Kevin Durant during the game.
