Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will attend the Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting at Ramstein Air Base, marking his first in-person appearance at this gathering of over 50 nations focused on military aid to Ukraine. This meeting, hosted by U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, will focus on enhancing Ukraine's air defense capabilities and invigorating defense industries for long-term support. Zelenskyy is expected to request more weapons, specifically long-range missiles and air defenses, with the UK already pledging 650 special missile systems. Following the Ramstein meeting, Zelenskyy will have a one-on-one discussion with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Frankfurt. This comes shortly after Russia's largest airstrike since the war began, which caused significant casualties and power outages in Ukraine.
