Stamford Police Seize Car in Fatal Hit-and-Run
A 13-year-old boy was killed in a hit-and-run while riding a mini bike with a family member along Courtland Avenue in Stamford, Connecticut, on Saturday evening. After pulling onto the shoulder, the boy was struck by a silver Honda Accord, model year 2003-2007, which fled the scene. Neighbors attempted CPR, but the boy was pronounced dead at Stamford Hospital. Stamford police have since identified and seized the suspected vehicle from the home of a 41-year-old Stamford resident, who has not been charged and has declined to speak without an attorney. The names of both the victim and the suspected driver have not been released as the investigation continues. Police and community members continue to urge witnesses to come forward.
