Marcos-backed Candidates Lead SWS January Senate Poll

The latest SWS survey, conducted between January 17 and 20, 2025, shows that candidates backed by Philippine President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. continue to dominate the senatorial race. ACT-CIS Rep. Erwin Tulfo leads with 45% support, followed by former Senate President Vicente Sotto III at 38%. Notably, former Senator Lito Lapid made significant gains, moving up to a tie for 3rd-4th place with Senator Bong Go, both at 37%. Senator Ping Lacson also improved his position to 5th place with 35%, while broadcaster Ben Tulfo retained 6th with 34%. However, Senator Bong Revilla suffered a substantial drop, falling from 2nd to 11th-13th place, garnering only 29%. Former Senator Kiko Pangilinan re-entered the top 12, rising to tie with Revilla and Willie Revillame at 29%.
