Zelenskyy Plans Trump Talks on Tougher Sanctions Against Russia at G7

Czech President Petr Pavel also urged intensified economic pressure on Russia to prevent prolonging the conflict, warning that Russia may test NATO's unity and underscoring the need for stricter sanctions beyond military aid. Both leaders agree that coordinated international sanctions, alongside continued military and financial support for Ukraine, are essential to compel Russia to negotiate and cease hostilities. Zelenskyy plans to discuss these issues with Trump at the upcoming G7 summit, aiming to clarify the timing and strength of new sanctions.
