China, Indonesia Strengthen 75-Year Cooperation in Politics, Economy, Environment

Chinese Premier Li Qiang emphasized the strong and steadily growing diplomatic ties between China and Indonesia during his official visit to Indonesia, marking the 75th anniversary of their relations. He highlighted the shared commitment to building a China-Indonesia community with a shared future, focusing on cooperation in politics, economy, cultural exchanges, maritime affairs, and security. Li recalled the recent consensus between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto to elevate bilateral ties and deepen cooperation across various fields. Additionally, Li underscored the significance of the 70th anniversary of the Bandung Conference, reflecting on its role in promoting solidarity and cooperation among Global South countries. Complementing these diplomatic efforts, a joint China-Indonesia mangrove protection project on Java Island is contributing to environmental conservation by reducing carbon emissions, supporting local biodiversity, and boosting the local circular economy through sustainable use of mangrove resources. This project exemplifies practical cooperation yielding environmental and economic benefits, strengthening the partnership between the two nations.
