Russian Strikes Kill 19+, Injure Hundreds Across Ukraine

Russian missile and drone strikes on Ukraine, including the city of Dnipro and the town of Samar, resulted in at least 19 to 21 deaths and over 170 to nearly 300 injuries, with several children among the casualties. The attacks damaged a passenger train, more than a dozen schools and kindergartens, multiple medical facilities, and significant residential and social infrastructure. At least two people were killed in Samar, while separate strikes in the Sumy region claimed three additional lives, including children. The tolls were still being clarified as authorities warned numbers could rise. The strikes occurred as President Zelensky visited the Netherlands for a NATO summit focused on securing further Western support for Ukraine. Emergency services continue to work at the scene, and officials credited the use of shelters with saving many lives.
