Giuffre Memoir Rekindles Calls for Royal Accountability

Virginia Giuffre’s posthumous memoir Nobody’s Girl recounts years of sex trafficking and graphic abuse by Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, saying she was passed to “scores” of wealthy men and at times naming only descriptions (including a 'prime minister') out of fear of retaliation or litigation. The book repeats Giuffre’s long‑standing allegation that she was forced to have sex with Prince Andrew multiple times as a teenager; Andrew denies the encounters, settled a 2022 lawsuit with Giuffre, and has relinquished use of his royal titles. Giuffre describes Epstein’s alleged use of hidden cameras, a library of videotapes and a control room that could be used to intimidate or blackmail associates, and maps the infrastructure and systemic enabling that sustained the abuse. Giuffre died by suicide in April, and her brother Sky Roberts and his wife Amanda have publicly urged King Charles III and the royal family to strip Andrew of remaining honours, reopen investigations, and ensure equal accountability. The memoir says Giuffre intended to use settlement funds to launch SOAR (Speak Out, Act, Reclaim) and includes her anguished admission that she was forced to recruit younger girls while under duress. Publication has reignited public scrutiny of Epstein’s network and prompted renewed calls for legal and institutional accountability.
