Tether Appoints Ex-White House Crypto Director Bo Hines as US Strategic Advisor

Tether, the issuer of the largest stablecoin USDT, has appointed Bo Hines, former Executive Director of the White House Crypto Council under President Donald Trump, as its new Strategic Advisor for Digital Assets and U.S. Strategy. Hines will lead Tether's efforts to expand and deepen its presence in the U.S. market, working closely with policymakers and industry stakeholders to navigate the evolving regulatory landscape, including compliance with the GENIUS Act. During his tenure in the Trump administration, Hines played a significant role in shaping crypto policy, advancing digital asset innovation, and helping develop regulatory frameworks for stablecoins. Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino emphasized that Hines' legislative expertise and blockchain knowledge will be vital for the company's U.S. market entry.
