New Pornographers Drummer Arrested on Child Sex Charges

Joe Seiders, drummer for The New Pornographers, was arrested on April 9 in Palm Desert, California, facing felony charges of possessing child pornography, annoying or molesting a child, invasion of privacy, and related misdemeanors after allegedly recording minors in a Chick-fil-A restroom. Authorities launched the investigation after an 11-year-old boy reported being filmed on April 7, with further suspicious incidents reported by staff on April 9. Police arrested Seiders at the scene, and subsequent searches of his residence, vehicle, and cellphone uncovered additional child sexual abuse imagery and related evidence.
