Bruce Springsteen is set to release the "Nebraska ’82: Expanded Edition" box set on October 17, which includes his first full live performance of the 1982 album "Nebraska," recorded earlier this year at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, New Jersey. This five-disc collection features a remastered version of the original album, solo outtakes, the long-rumored "Electric Nebraska" sessions with the E Street Band, and a newly filmed concert film of the full album performed without an audience. The live performance, directed by Thom Zimny and accompanied by Larry Campbell and Charlie Giordano, is presented without narration or commentary, focusing on the narrative strength of the songs. Springsteen emphasized the unique emotional weight of these songs and the effort to maintain the album's original "spooky quality" in the live rendition. Additionally, a biopic titled "Deliver Me From Nowhere," exploring the era when Springsteen created "Nebraska," is scheduled for release shortly after the box set.
