Ahmed Wadiyya, a Hamas commander involved in the October 7 attacks, was killed in an Israeli airstrike near Gaza City's Al-Ahli hospital. Wadiyya, who led the invasion of Netiv Ha’asara using a paraglider, was notorious for murdering Gil Taasa in front of his children and then drinking cola from their fridge. The strike, which also killed seven other Hamas terrorists, targeted a compound used by the group's Daraj-Tuffah Battalion. The Israeli military confirmed that the strike aimed at mitigating civilian casualties. The attack on Netiv Ha’asara resulted in the deaths of 22 residents and the kidnapping of one person. This incident has contributed to ongoing violence, with over 40,000 people killed in the conflict, according to Gaza health officials.
