The 17-year-old, currently a junior at the Benjamin School in Palm Beach Gardens, expressed her excitement on Instagram, thanking her family, coaches, and friends for their support. She highlighted her grandfather's influence, noting his provision of access to great golf courses and support. Kai gained national attention with her speech at the Republican National Convention, shortly after an assassination attempt on her grandfather. Although she cannot sign an official letter of intent until 2025, her commitment to the University of Miami's golf program is clear. The university confirmed it is recruiting her despite no official comment due to NCAA regulations.
