Trump Card Visa Query Appears in US Immigration Forms
The Trump Gold Card, a proposed $5 million golden visa program allowing wealthy individuals to purchase U.S. residency and a path to citizenship, is already appearing in U.S. immigration systems despite no formal White House announcement or congressional approval. Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is leading the digital infrastructure rollout, integrating the Trump Card Visa option into multiple federal agencies' systems, including Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the State Department, and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Applicants for programs like Global Entry are now being asked if they have applied for the Trump Card Visa, reflecting the early stages of system integration. However, legal experts emphasize that Congress must approve any increase in permanent residency caps for the program to be lawful, as current federal laws strictly limit the number and eligibility of green cards issued annually. DOGE's involvement marks a rapid expansion from its original mission of modernizing federal technology to playing a central role in reshaping immigration processes, with a dedicated website trumpcard.gov already registered in late March to support the program's infrastructure. Despite ongoing development and coordination with multiple agencies, details about eligibility, application procedures, and legislative approval remain unclear.
