EU and US Raise Concerns Over Russian Drones in China

Reports indicate that Russia is developing a drone manufacturing program in China, raising significant concerns among Western nations. The drone model, named Garpiya-3 (G3), has been developed by the Russian subsidiary IEMZ Kupol with assistance from Chinese specialists, and it could potentially be produced on a large scale for deployment in Ukraine. The EU and the U.S. have voiced alarm over this collaboration, suggesting it contradicts China's stated position of not providing lethal assistance to Russia. While China has denied knowledge of the project, officials in the U.S. emphasize that it is imperative for China to ensure its companies do not engage in providing military aid to Russia. NATO has also called for China to cease any support for Russia's military efforts. The G3 drone is capable of carrying a 50 kg payload over a distance of 2,000 km, indicating its potential impact on the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
