Hamadeh Wins Arizona GOP Primary for 8th District

Abe Hamadeh emerged victorious in the Republican primary for Arizona’s 8th Congressional District, defeating Blake Masters and several other candidates. Hamadeh, who secured 29.8% of the vote to Masters' 25.3%, was endorsed by former President Donald Trump, alongside other prominent Republicans such as Kari Lake and Cory Mills. The primary race was contentious, with both Hamadeh and Masters exchanging personal attacks. Hamadeh emphasized his background as a former U.S. Army reserve captain and intelligence officer, and his priorities include border security and election integrity. The district, currently held by retiring Rep. Debbie Lesko, leans conservative, giving Hamadeh a strong chance in the general election. The Democratic candidate, Greg Whitten, is running unopposed.
