BRICS Leaders Meet in Rio Amid Global Economic, Political Pressures

The 17th annual BRICS summit, held in Rio de Janeiro on July 6-7, unfolds amid significant geopolitical and economic tensions, with key absences of China’s President Xi Jinping and Russia’s President Vladimir Putin, represented instead by their respective foreign ministers.
