Norwegian black metal band Mayhem has canceled their North American 40th-anniversary tour due to a medical emergency affecting one of its members, which necessitates immediate surgery and a prolonged recovery period. The tour, initially set to run from November 12 to November 23, included performances in cities such as Montreal, Toronto, and Los Angeles. Fans who purchased tickets will receive refunds at the point of purchase. Despite this setback, Mayhem assures fans that they will have something planned for North America in 2025, and upcoming European shows in December will proceed as scheduled. The band, known for its influential role in the black metal genre, has been active since 1984 and has performed nearly 1,000 shows worldwide.
