Despite a recent UK Supreme Court ruling defining 'woman' and 'sex' in equality law as biological, the London Marathon will continue to allow transgender women to self-identify as female in the mass race. Entry to elite, championship, and good-for-age female categories remains restricted to those assigned female at birth, in line with World Athletics' rules and new requirements for gender testing among elite competitors.
