Manhunt for Carjacking Suspects in Texas

Two suspects are on the run following a carjacking in Mesquite that escalated into a police chase and ended with an officer firing his weapon in Far East Dallas. The incident began when the suspects stole a vehicle from the Watermark Apartments around 10 p.m. and was later spotted by police, leading to a pursuit that ended at the Treymore Apartments. During the chase, an officer perceived a threat from one of the suspects and discharged his firearm, although it is believed that the suspect was not hit. Both suspects fled on foot after crashing the vehicle, and despite a search involving K-9 units and a helicopter, they remain at large. The Dallas police are investigating the officer-involved shooting, while the Mesquite police are handling the robbery case. No injuries have been reported from the incident.
