Alex Gray, known as Apollo on the BBC's Gladiators, has been targeted by a female stalker during filming in Sheffield, leading to an increased security presence by the BBC and Hungry Bear Media. The incidents, which occurred on set, at his residence, and during a fan meet-and-greet, are currently under police investigation, although no arrests have been made. Gray, a former rugby and NFL player, expressed his concern over the situation but remains hopeful for a resolution. The revived Gladiators show, originally popular in the 1990s, has seen a successful return with former athletes and new gladiators capturing viewer attention. Despite the stalking incident, the show continues to entertain audiences with its athletic competitions, though one of the Gladiators, Nitro, had to withdraw from the new series due to an injury sustained during training.
