Early Voting Expands Across Texas Counties for May 3
Early voting is underway for the May 3 Texas local elections, with voters able to cast ballots on local bond issues and positions across multiple counties. Counties participating now include Dallas, Tarrant, Collin, Denton, Harris, Montgomery, Fort Bend, Hays, Williamson, and Travis, with some allowing voting at any Vote Center. Texas law requires in-person voters to present an acceptable photo ID, such as a Texas Driver License issued by the Department of Public Safety. Voters unable to obtain a photo ID may use supporting documents, such as a government document with their name and address or a certified birth certificate. Comprehensive lists of acceptable IDs and further resources are available for those needing additional information. These identification requirements apply during both early voting and on election day.
