Due to dangerously cold temperatures expected on Inauguration Day, President-elect Donald Trump's swearing-in ceremony will take place indoors at the Capitol Rotunda, marking the first indoor ceremony since Ronald Reagan's 1985 inauguration. The decision comes as temperatures are forecasted to be in the low 20s, with wind chills making it feel even colder, potentially leading to health risks for attendees. Although the inaugural parade's location is still under discussion, there are considerations to hold some events at the Capital One arena. This year’s ceremony is expected to be one of the coldest in decades, which may limit the number of people able to attend live. Trump's team has yet to finalize plans for how to accommodate the large crowds anticipated for the event. The inauguration is scheduled for noon ET on Monday.
