Turkey to Submit Evidence on Eygi Shooting

Turkey is set to present evidence regarding the killing of Turkish-American activist Aysenur Ezgi Eygi by Israeli forces to the United Nations Security Council, International Court of Justice (ICJ), and International Criminal Court (ICC). Eygi was shot during a protest against Israeli settlement expansion in the West Bank on September 6. Turkish Justice Minister Yilmaz Tunc emphasized the need for accountability, stating that Turkey will submit forensic reports and other evidence to support its claims. Israel has acknowledged the shooting but described it as unintentional amid a violent protest. This incident has intensified tensions between Israel and its allies, particularly the United States, which has called for a thorough investigation. Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan has committed to pursuing justice through international legal avenues for Eygi's death.
