Ross Perot Jr. Named U.S. Chamber of Commerce Board Chair

Ross Perot Jr., chairman of Hillwood and The Perot Group, has been elected as the new board chair of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for a two-year term, succeeding Mark Ordan. Perot, who has been a member of the Chamber's board since 2020 and previously served as vice chair, is recognized for his global leadership and transformative economic development projects, including the development of Fort Worth Alliance Airport and AllianceTexas. He expressed commitment to advancing pro-growth policies such as permanent tax reform, expanded domestic energy production, trade agreements, and permitting reform. The Chamber, under Perot's leadership, supports President Donald Trump's agenda for deregulation and growth but remains concerned about the negative impact of tariffs on small businesses, advocating for exemptions for companies with fewer than 20 employees.
