OpenAI Offers ChatGPT Enterprise to US Federal Agencies for $1
OpenAI has partnered with the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) to offer ChatGPT Enterprise to all federal executive branch employees for a nominal fee of $1 per agency for the next year, supporting the Trump Administration's AI Action Plan to enhance government efficiency. The initiative provides federal workers access to advanced AI tools, including frontier models and premium features, along with custom training and a dedicated user community to ensure responsible and effective deployment. Pilot programs have shown that government employees can save an average of 95 minutes per day on routine tasks using ChatGPT Enterprise, with high positive feedback from users. OpenAI guarantees that user inputs and outputs will not be used to train or improve its models, addressing data security concerns, and the GSA has issued an Authority to Use (ATU) confirming compliance with federal security standards. This program is part of a broader effort to accelerate AI adoption across the U.S. government, with more than 90,000 users from various government levels already engaging with ChatGPT. The partnership aims to empower public servants to focus more on meaningful work, thereby improving government services for the American people.
