Lil Durk Pleads Not Guilty to Murder Charges

Lil Durk, the Chicago rapper, has pleaded not guilty to federal charges in a murder-for-hire case involving rival rapper Quando Rondo, stemming from a 2022 shooting that resulted in the death of Rondo's cousin, Saviay'a Robinson. During his arraignment in Los Angeles, Durk faced charges including conspiracy and use of firearms in a violent crime, with a potential life sentence if convicted. Federal prosecutors allege that Durk orchestrated the attack as retaliation for the 2020 murder of his friend, King Von, and had placed a bounty on Rondo's life. Durk was arrested in Miami while reportedly attempting to flee the country, having booked international flights, before being extradited to Los Angeles. His associates, who allegedly participated in the shooting, are also facing charges, with some rumors suggesting one may have turned informant. A trial is set for January 7, 2025, with a status conference scheduled for November 25.
