The Los Angeles County judge ruled on August 8 that Zucker's allegations of sexual harassment and emotional distress warrant further examination, despite Alarr's attorney arguing that the business code violation should be dismissed due to his unemployment. Judge Kristin S. Escalante noted that Zucker's claims suggest a longstanding pattern of behavior that could recur, thus supporting the need for an injunction. Zucker's attorney emphasized her desire to protect other women from potential harm by Alarr. The case, which also includes claims of discrimination and retaliation, is set to continue in court this October. Corday Productions has previously denied the allegations, asserting that Zucker's contract renewal was offered but rejected.
