Sade Releases New Song for Trans Awareness Album

Sade Adu is set to release her first new song in six years, titled 'Young Lion', as part of the benefit compilation album 'TRAИƧA', which aims to celebrate trans and non-binary artistry. Scheduled for release on November 22, the album, produced by the non-profit Red Hot, features contributions from over 100 artists, including André 3000, Sam Smith, and Moses Sumney, and comprises 46 tracks divided into eight chapters representing the colors of the rainbow pride flag. 'Young Lion' is dedicated to Sade's transgender son, Izaak, and marks her first new music since contributions to film soundtracks in 2018. The album aims to spotlight the significance of trans and non-binary individuals in society and their artistic contributions, as stated by co-producers Dust Reid and Massima Bell. The compilation also includes a cover of Prince's 'I Would Die 4 U' as its lead single, showcasing a diverse range of artists and their works. The project serves as a platform to promote awareness and understanding of transgender experiences and artistry.
