Nvidia Plans AI Supercomputer Partnership with TSMC, Foxconn, Taiwan Government
Nvidia is advancing its leadership in AI and quantum computing infrastructure through multiple strategic initiatives announced at COMPUTEX 2025 in Taipei. The company plans to build an AI supercomputer for Taiwan in collaboration with Foxconn, TSMC, and the Taiwanese government, emphasizing Taiwan's central role in the AI supply chain. Nvidia also unveiled NVLink Fusion technology, designed to enable scalable, semi-custom AI infrastructure by integrating GPUs, CPUs, and ASICs, supported by partnerships with major semiconductor and technology firms. Additionally, Nvidia launched the ABCI-Q supercomputer, the world's largest quantum computing research supercomputer, developed with Japan's AIST, aiming to accelerate quantum computing applications across industries such as healthcare, energy, and finance. To further accelerate AI adoption, Nvidia introduced RTX PRO Servers and a validated AI factory design, collaborating with global IT providers like Cisco, Dell, and Lenovo, with Foxconn planning to use these designs for AI factory construction. These initiatives position Nvidia at the forefront of AI and quantum computing infrastructure development, though they carry risks related to emerging technology challenges and reliance on partnerships.
