Airbus Targets 820 Jet Deliveries in 2025

Airbus has announced a 7% increase in its jet delivery target for 2025, aiming for approximately 820 aircraft despite ongoing supply chain challenges, particularly with Spirit AeroSystems affecting the A320 and A350 models. The company reported an 8% drop in adjusted operating income to €5.35 billion for 2024, impacted by €300 million in charges related to its troubled space division. Airbus' annual revenue climbed 6% to €69.23 billion, supported by strong order intake across divisions. Production delays have pushed the introduction of the A350 freighter to the latter half of 2027. Despite these challenges, Airbus maintained its medium-term production targets, though uncertainties around the A400M military transport aircraft persist due to order concerns. Trade tensions and potential tariffs also pose risks, but Airbus remains engaged in managing its supply chain and expanding its U.S. operations as a countermeasure.
