Trump announced the belated invitation during an interview with Clay Travis, stating that he wants to make up for the missed opportunity. The Chiefs have not yet confirmed their attendance for the proposed visit. Meanwhile, the Philadelphia Eagles, who defeated the Chiefs in this year's Super Bowl, are scheduled to visit the White House on April 28. Unlike in 2018, when the Eagles declined a White House visit amid controversy, they have accepted this year's invitation. The Chiefs have recently visited the White House twice under the Biden administration following their consecutive Super Bowl wins in 2023 and 2024.
